During our 1984 trip to Southern California, Santa Fe’s recently-rebuilt GP30’s and GP35’s were a constant presence. Here two GP30’s are assisting a pig train at Cajon Junction.

Recently restored by the Reading Technical & Historical Society, Reading GP30 5513 leads a Souderton Railroad Days excursion under Route 309 at the Telford Middle Siding in Telford, Pennsylvania.

Two high nose GP30 units sit next to the older FP7 units in Asheville. One of these units, 2601, has been restored at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer.
