85. The slowly dimming light of the DPU can be seen dropping further down the bore of the Moffat Tunnel.

86. Another night of very little sleep is spent in the truck watching trains enter and leave the Moffat Tunnel. An early morning rise catches the moon still out waiting on the sun.

87. The rising sun glows through two mountain peaks as this train makes a break for Denver. A little while this train will have unknown air issues that will require the help of a MOW employee.

88. The sun finally peaks over the Rockies to catch me taking a photo.

89. Going to help a train with an unknown air issue this MOW employee will take that bar to rail his hi-rail truck onto the tracks. With limited access, this is the only way in.

93. After stopping for Amtrak Zephyr #6 it needs to make time as #5 is coming up from behind.

94. The Moffat Route snakes along the Colorado River for much of it's route but this is some of the most scenic of those miles.

95. Amtrak Zephyr #5 hits the curves with a graceful stride.

96. One of the last trains I will see in Colorado on this trip. I followed the tracks all the way out to the interstate where I saw a very large buck Elk standing on the tracks.
