A northbound unit sand train runs up the CN Rainy sub crossing the St. Louis River under less-than-ideal skies coupled with cold temperatures and high wind gusts.

Pulling off the Missabe sub and onto the Fairlane leg heading onto the Cleveland-Cliffs United Taconite property with 114 loads of rock pulled by a BLE duo.

A neat consist pulling limestone empties down the CN Missabe passing Fairlane while on their way back to Proctor.

Day one of the new year and it's the same as day three hundred sixty-five of last year. Cold. The trains are still running back and forth but it's cold out there.
