Eastbound NYSW job departing Bevier St, Binghamton NY
Power tied up for the holidays
The best example(in my book anyway)of how to do a "patch job".All 3 of the recently returned(from the Erie Lackawanna)SD-45's,801,803,and 802,rest between runs.
To get a larger fuel tank than was available on a standard SD45, the EL ordered the SDP45 without the passenger equipment. These engines went to Conrail in 1976.
The D&H rostered both the RS11 and the RS36. Here RS11 5011 switches in the company of a classic D&H wood caboose.
Taken during guided tour of facility as part of NRHS's Railcamp Program.
