The first major winter storm of the season dumped snow and freezing rain in New Jersey today. M&E 18 and RRPX SSB1200RS 563 are being coated by freezing rain.

RRPX 563 has just completed switching Whippany and is preparing to return to Morristown.

Maine Eastern 488 has returned to New Jersey. The M&E plans to assign the classic cab unit to the Whippany Railway Museum's Santa Claus trains during the next few weekends.
