Last stop on our El Centro Hauler chase was Mecca where the train headed under the old cantilever signal bridge while we tried to figure out why the dirt was so spongey.
A little bit of Southern Pacific still exists on this bridge over the Salton Creek as the El Centro Hauler (a former SP job) heads west towards West Colton).
