Agent Marvin Plumley checks paperwork for Amtrak's Cardinal at the ticket window in Prince, West Virginia. The Chesapeake & Ohio Railway opened the Art Deco station in 1946 to serve nearby Beckley and surrounding communities in the New River Gorge. Plumley retired in 2007 after 40 years of service for the C&O, CSX, and Amtrak.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
