| "I need a push!" Soo Line 2405 leads Lake States train #12 at Shops Yard in Fond Du Lac, WI in August of 1987. The train will depart as soon as the helpers are added to the rear to help the train get up Byron Hill just south of here. The CN still uses helpers here. Vintage power was the rule on the short lived Lake States (a Soo Line subsidiary) that was continued when the Wisconsin Central took over the line later in the year. |
