This view of a Chico rock train with 6 units coming off the OKT in Fort Worth is about to hit the Tower 55 diamonds. MKT 3120 never did receive a coat of CR blue before being acquired by the Katy in 1983, and was eventually renumbered MKT 241. This was one of 48 GP's that the Katy acquired from Conrail, Illinois Central Gulf, and Kennecott Copper in the 1980's, which was required to meet the demands of the 767 miles of ex Rock Island trackage that the Katy acquired and branded as the OKT Railroad.
