Heading back to Powder River Basin for another load of coal, a Burlington Northern coal train follows the North Platte River through Wendover Canyon between Wendover and Cassa, Wyoming, on July 18, 1985. Five Cascade green locomotives power the westbound train, with three EMD SD40-2s bracketing a GE C30-7 and a GE U30C.
