Santa Fe E8M 81 leads the Denver-LaJunta Train 191 at Colorado Springs, Colorado in August 1968. Santa Fe E8M 81 was rebuilt by EMD in 1953 from a 1937 model EMC E1A #4. Santa Fe owned the entire production of eight E1A and three E1B units. Photo from my slide collection, photographer K. Crist.
