Conrail ALNS is led by a freshly painted Conrail Quality SD40-2 that is highlighted by late afternoon sun. The train has just departed Allentown Yard and is passing CP Burn on the Reading Line. This location was once the site of the Reading Company's East Penn Junction yard. The gasometer in the background was a landmark in Allentown for decades.
