The NP rarely if ever ran F-Units into Bellingham. The BN thought otherwise as the New West Local power chills on the pass at Bellingham Depot.
BN 133 with 3 GP10's and a GP35 have things cranked as he screams past 134 in the siding at Bow.
Similiar to perhaps a religious experience, the sun opens up on the south switch Stanwood just as 134 appeared and shone brightly on the part I care the most about.
BN 634 is taking the siding at Stanwood to meet a southbound. A pair of SD40-2\s were the standard power on the 3 each way (daily) Everett to New Westminster/Vancouver freights during the 90's.
BN 6301 is enjoying the fresh air and daylight after being in the 8 mile long Cascade Tunnel.
View from the helpers on the siding at Scenic at the westbound coming out of the Cascade Tunnel.
BN 6619 East struggles up the siding at Scenic and the 2.2% grade to the Cascade Tunnel.
Looks like a BN westbound with plans to eat at Skykomish.
BN crossing the Skykomish River bridge.
Once in a while you see one big unit bringing a westbound from Skykomish all the way into Seattle.
The rear end of this westbound is just clearing Everett Depot and the power is approaching Howarth Park. For many years westbound trains via Stevens Pass setout cars for Everett here.
I think someone forgot to say "that will do" at the proper time.
