At first only nature is stirring in the Nation's oldest city. Then the deep bellows of whistles echo across the landscape as FEC 226 announces it's presence. Moments later crossing the marsh.

Sunday Sunday Sunday evening is always a good bet for some FEC action in St. Augustine. Here 107 sweeps in 15 minutes behind 111. On Sundays you can get both between 6-7 PM

While most of railfan nation was after the famous N&W 611, we were after not quite as well known, but yet still interesting FEC "111". FEC 111 always has an interesting assortment of power.

One of my favorite trains on the FEC you never know how many locomotives it will have.

The 224 was unusually late this morning due to a bad order car. That gave us 224 and then 226 about 10 minutes behind him on a breezy morning in St. Augustine.
