An astonishing NINE classic Alcos assigned as mid-train helpers, work a Utah Railway coal train approach Soldier Summit the afternoon of Sept. 3, 1978. The consist includes RSD-4s No. 301, 300, 304, 306, 305, RSD-12 no 600, and RSD-15s No. 401, 402, and 403. The helper set will soon cut out of the train on the Soldier Summit siding and return light to Martin Yard while the coal train will resume its journey west and interchange with the Union Pacific at Provo Yard.
