Vestibule to Nowhere Awaiting a meet that will never arrive, THPX 801 sits like a ghost on Carrizo Gorge Siding with the empty mainline in the foreground. The turn in the mainline that runs around the mountain to Jacumba can be seen in the middle of the left hand side of the door way and the cloudless sky hints of another hot dry day in this part of the great Sonoran Desert. This railroad was embargoed in 2008 and there have been no trains running on this track since that time.
