| When Willamette & Pacific received 17 GP39s that had come off lease to Santa Fe, the new shortline put the units to work as soon as possible. Units renumbered in WPRR's 2300-series were equipped with radios and could lead trains; locomotives retaining their ATSF numbers were essentially B units. In this view, the McMinnville Hauler climbs Rex hill westbound. |
