In honor of the start of the baseball season, here's a farewell look at what was one of the best-ever places for simultaneous train and baseball watching, Harbor Yards in Bridgeport, CT. The Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic League played in front of a steady parade of Amtrak and Metro North trains on the embankment immediately behind the outfield wall. Sadly, this scene won't continue in 2018, since the city of Bridgeport decided not to renew the team's lease after the 2017 season and cut a deal with a developer to convert the ballpark into a concert venue.
