Remarks & Notes

For a couple of years UP experimented with using fuel "tenders" to reduce fueling stops. Four tank cars were modified and ran between two unit sets. The program did not succeed as the forces exerted between the locomotives proved too great for the tank cars to endure. The 6841 East is bringing a coal train into Fremont, NE. Fuji Velvia.
