As snow comes to the Heartland this Easter Sunday, I thought I'd go back to an April day in '93 when rain turned to snow overnight and yielded a heavy, wet snow in central Pennsylvania. At MG, halfway up the grade to Gallitzin, the propane switch heaters emitted a weird whistling sound amidst the silence of this remote location, until the laboring of a westbound could be heard as it moved up the valley.
