Remarks & Notes
Inside of the steam rotary snow blower Xrot # 100 of SBB Historic, built in 1896 for the Gotthard Railway by Henschel/Cassel/Germany. Until 1981, it served as an "iron reserve" in the Erstfeld depot and was then exhibited in the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne. Last use was in 1975 in Göschenen, pushed by a diesel locomotive Bm 4/4. On this day, exactly 125 years after delivery, the impressive vehicle with a blower wheel diameter of 2,96 meter (6,56 feet) and about 800 horsepower was brought from Arth Goldau to Brugg AG by steamlocomotive Eb 3/5 # 5819 of SBB Historic.
