Symbol freight PR-4 for Philadelphia comes booming down the valley through Lewistown Narrows on a summer afternoon. EMD, GE and Alco four and six axle power was prevalent at this time. That Century 628 second out had received its ignominious Penn Central colors that were no more bland than the spartan PRR decal on the SD45. Still, it was a great time to be watching trains. |
