Remarks & Notes
Amtrak Pacific Surfliner 767 passes the old Santa Fe depot in Carlsbad as it rushes to the next stop on its way to Los Angeles, Oceanside, three miles ahead. This charming station was built in 1887 and was used by the Santa Fe Railway until 1960. Fortunately, it was saved and refurbished, and now serves as the city’s visitor center.
