On a normal occasion, CN’s Kirk Yard - Glenn Yard Local runs during the nighttime hours. Instead they got a very late start, and got held up at many places for hours, which made for some well-lit sunny shots near Downtown Chicago. The past two days L537 has been a late run into Glenn. After waiting for 3 hours for a window to get across the diamonds at 16th Street, L537 heads through Bridgeport as a outbound CTA train races them out of Ashland. After Bridgeport, L537 would get held up once again at Corwith. A straight shot for this train from Kirk to Glenn isn’t easy, as they have 10 busy diamonds to cross before getting to Glenn, which is hard for a non-stop trip.
