Amtrak’s westbound Southwest Chief quickly rolls through the big curve through Ancona, Illinois, crossing a wood trestle over Prairie Creek at 7:20 p.m. on June 20, 1992. The train is powered by Amtrak GE B32BWH No. 507 and a pair of EMD F40PHs.
