Remarks & Notes

On a beautiful March Day in 1968, four WP Geeps, GP9 725, two high short nose GP20's 2001, 2010 and a GP7 710 are in charge of a 92 car west-bound freight through the grade at Altamont Pass. Once the grade behind them, the Geeps will have an easy run through Niles Junction, Freemont and on into Oakland, California. Photo by John DeGrave, from my collection.
