Remarks & Notes 
One of the shortest assignments a GG-1 could get was the short trip forwarding Lehigh Valley passenger trains between the Lehigh Valley connection at Newark, NJ and New York Penn Station. Here, the prototype GG1, "Old Rivets", gets the call for an Eastbound. I think this was the only time my Dad saw 4800, and I know we never did together in the 1970s. R.T. Steinbrenner Photo
