Remarks & Notes
This beautiful 4-8-4 Northern was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works for the Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac Railway. It is the John Marshall. It had a tractive force of 62,800 lbs., and a combined engine and tender weight of 724,400 lbs. My great, great uncle Robert F. McKee, Sr., was a design engineer at Baldwin Locomotive Works. This Baldwin Locomotive Works builders photo card is from the John R. Doughty collection.
