A look down Parkway Avenue past the PAS·TYME Bar in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, sees a southbound taconite ore train on Wisconsin Central’s Neenah to North Fond du Lac main line noisily crossing the street on October 30, 1994. Full of taconite from northern Minnesota, the train is powered by a trio of new SP GE C44-9Ws, and will eventually be headed west to the large steel mill at Geneva, Utah. The drinking establishment is still there and looks to be remodeled, and likely no longer has the atmosphere of a good old Wisconsin corner bar.
