My favorite locos in regular intermodal service bring the 211 south. Again from "Johnston Island."

The 227 glides north after meeting the 211 with a CR unit trailing. I finally found how to get to "Johnston Island."

A NS hopper train knocks down the 5.4 signal and heads south. I took this on a neighboring industrial spur (the owner said it was ok).

Nice BNSF/UP combo heads south through Vardo Yard.

Very rare SD50 on the Lurgan Sub. crosses a private crossing and a bucolic farmhouse.

Straightaways and partly cloudy days sometimes make numerous types of lighting on the same train. It sure was nice to see a CR then former demonstrator SD60 lashup on the 37Q.

VERY rare to see a six axle slug in Vardo. This freshly painted slug is coming from Juniata Shops and bound for Linwood, NC. Horsehead SD40-2 that are ex-N&W are rare too.

VERY rare to see KCS and TFM in Maryland. Interesting how there are 3 different types of SD70 in this consist (one spartan, one ACe, and one SD70MAC). Radio towers really stand out in night shot... (more)
