922 heads east across the huge fill west of downtown Opelika. These Herzog rock trains, which are loaded in Columbus, GA, have been making regular appearances on this line recently.

Recently repainted, the 8591 and 8107 make a fine sight as they and two BNSF motors lift Q503 up the grade to Holmes Gap.

Two freshly painted CSX units and a pair of BNSF Dash 9s make for a colorful consist as they lead a southbound down the former L&N.
