Canadian Pacific's Holiday Train makes it's way across the impressive Kootenay Landing trestle on their way from Creston, BC to Nelson, BC. This section of the Nelson Sub rarely sees trains in the daylight as the current operations observe one train a day in each direction, typically in the middle of the night. With the holiday train making an appearance in the Kootenay area, this gives one a unique opportunity to photograph a train on this trestle. I couldn't pass up the opportunity.
