Its always a treat for me to shoot the remaining GTW painted locomotives before CN repaints them, including this GP38-2 powering a local train along the Flint Subdivision in its namesake city.

Canadian National train 513 is awaiting a green signal at Milwaukee Junction for its trip up the Holly Subdivision to deliver auto parts and frames to Pontiac area General Motors plants.

With two loads in tow a Canadian National local is proceeding eastward out of Flint Yard powered by GP9R 4632 as it passes by the signals near Clifford Street on the south side of Flint.

While CN has begun the process of repainting Grand Trunk locomotives some can still be found in various yard and local duties, including the GTW 4914 whose crew is just beginning its their of swit... (more)
