Erie Lackawanna Train no. 1, the westbound Phoebe Snow, is ready to depart Hoboken for Scranton, Binghamton, Elmira, Jamestown, Youngstown and points west for Chicago.

Former Pennsylvania GG1 4931 leads a southbound SCL Florida train just a few months after the PC merger. The substantial Nassau tower was built in 1944.

PHOEBE SNOW is stopped at the Blairstown station behind Lackawanna's first E8 unit. This engine and 811 had been EMD demonstrators in the DL&W color scheme with the GM shield on the nose.
