Remarks & Notes
Beavers caused this! On a fateful night in September 1993, Algoma Central’s ore train with SD40 184 and GP7 102 was descending a heavy grade when it discovered the right of way just ahead washed away. Investigation determined a beaver dam over a mile away and higher in the mountains contained a large body of water and following recent downpours the dam suddenly gave way that night. The crewmen survived and recovered. Photo at AC shops at Steelton, Ont. Sept. 29, 1993.

These are engines that are either already scrapped, are in deadlines, or they're in severe danger of being scrapped. Not everything can be preserved.
