The first step in removal of the superheater tubes from L&N 4-6-2- #152 at the Kentucky Railway Museum. Connections are heated to ease loosening them at the smokebox end of the tubes.
Looking north towards the long gone train shed, this is the view of Nashville Union Station that approaching trains came at. The station is now a museum.
