Working on the 663 requires working in spaces with very little room.

The GE engine has been removed from the truck and is now being transfered to a special car for holding motors which was made at the Derby Shops.

EX KCS 625 is waiting to go into the MMA engine repair facility to have the motor removed and rebuilt.

663 is having extensive body work done on it. As seen in the photo one of the workers is smoothing some new metal by the door. This unit is so long that the door can only be lowered part way.
