After meeting their 3rd eastbound of the day, this ballast train departs Paynesville siding, putting on quite a smoke show. Ballast would be dumped later that night at Murray.

Finishing work at Howard Lake, the east local continues westbound, throttling up into Cokato.

Late in the evening, after dumping ballast in Loretto, this rock train was seen here heading back to Humboldt, kicking up quite a storm.
